Don Preston was a jazz-rock keyboardist and Mini-Moog virtuoso in The Mothers of Invention , an experimental rock group from the 60s led by Frank Zappa . Thanks to the Belgian label Sub Rosa, we discover him as a talented modular synthesizer tinkerer. A hippie who, deeply moved by the works of Berio, Stockhausen, and Dockstader, devotes himself to the most radical electronic experiments of musique concrète.
