At the suggestion of Pierre Kellerthe Geneva-based artist John M Armleder He was given free rein to design the poster for the 42nd festival. He combined a graphic composition reminiscent of wallpaper with kinetic patterns and a photograph of three muted trumpets. The design plays with volume and flatness, contrasting the brilliance of the brass instruments with the matte background. The visual is a formal exploration of repetition and difference, resonating with the experimental nature of contemporary music.
